MY LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCE                                

Do you believe in magic? Do I?

How can there be a choice when one looks around and sees----------------------

---see it, feel it, sense it, in the blink of our eyes!

The busiest of roads in the city became the barest it had ever been!

From Chennai to Jaipur to Kolkata to Mumbai, the roads had the same deserted look on March 21st the day of the lockdown!

It happened…… the waters testing ‘healthy’ in Varanasi, just within the time it took two full moons to be reflected on the face of Ganga!  

The Himalayas appeared on the horizon from a distance of 100 miles, in Punjab, a sight not on record for decades!

We visited them in their Sanctuaries then, and now they came here to lounge on our roads!

The chirping of birds appeared louder and crisper at dawn and dusk!

When man restrained himself, Nature emerged out a winner, with clear waters, clean air, delightful sounds and fragrant soil!

Earth Day, April 22nd 2020 became a reminder of the infinite potential of our environment, if only we had the wisdom to embrace it, as something that is integral to our very being!

It took a microbe to make us realize that what we direly need is an elevated mind set, and not just skillsets!

The story of the Evolution of my Environment is all the evidence that I need to be convinced!
